I have had this figure on my desk for a long time (actually I have *2* of them as I like the figure so much). This is sculpted by Mark Sims of Crusader Miniatures and is based on the Charleston Heston's performance in El Cid.

In the beginning the Soviets and America were allies of necessity. Lend Lease was
operating and the Sovs had some US vehicles. (And now so do I!)
I
was looking at what I had vehicle and figure-wise and realized that I
had a fair-sized Soviet force about 1/3 painted (so maybe 20-25 grunts
to go). In looking through my "needs to be painted" cabinet, I came
across some of the vehicles I had picked up used at MilleniumCon in
Austin last year and new ones from Joe Conejo of Hobby Armor Depot,
the same manufacturer. Hmmm... thinks I... Soviets *did* use American
stuff for a while, and combined with the T34 and KV1 plastic models I
have this could be some serious firepower.
