Battlefleet Gothic Eldar Fleet: C’Topher Craftworld

By Michael Cannon / November 30, 2012

The fleet here was a gift to my son for Christmas. He was in his late teens when he got it and I was trying to get him back into some form of gaming other than World of Warcraft. It failed but the fleet is still here with us.

I chose the overall color scheme because my son likes blue. I used a lighter blue because a darker one would have not shown the details well. The name is derived from my son’s name – Christopher – thus the C’Topher Craftworld. I did not use a matte spray on them because these had been mounted on the clear bases. I have considered going back and using a brush-on matte, but some thing stops me anytime I think about it.

The total on this is around 1600-1700 points, depending on how you bulk the fleet out with re-rolls and leadership bonuses. Now I have *two* Eldar Fleets sitting idle (see the Battlefleet Gothic M’Kel Craftworld Fleet)!

I have been wargaming as long as I can remember. I met my wife when I was 14 and had been gaming long before that so that should give you an indication as to how long it has been. One of the first games I owned was Anzio by Avalon Hill. I drove over to the hobby shop in the snow to pick it up as I finally had the money to get something! I can remember playing with Airfix figures and Roco tanks back in the 6th grade and before.
