Quotable quotes...

Lieutenant Harford had done well in his first action. He had given Hamilton-Browne a scare by dropping to his hands and knees as the attack started, but when the battalion commander rushed to his side he found Harford intent on transferring a rare beetle to a small tin box.

Warlord Roman Test PDF Print E-mail
Written by Michael (Mike) Cannon

I pulled out one of the Warlord Roman sprues and started a test piece to see how the "dipping" method worked for me. I don't use the Army Painter stuff as it's expensive to get it shipped. I used some of the Olympic Gel Stain I had for staining Hirst Arts buildingsinstead. I painted the figure in a simple block patter - no eyes, no shading,no lining. Then I did the base with a textured gel and painted it. Once that was complete, I dipped the figure into the can of paint and shook it vigorously. I let it dry overnight and then did it again. Overall I'm pretty please with the way it looks. There are some comments on the pictures that show where I was successful and where I felt like I was not. Your comments would be appreciated.
