I just got in two of the boxes of the Warlord Romans I ordered. I have
to say that I am pretty impressed with them. The detail is good as is
the molding. They do not come with bases for mounting (for a number of
folks this will be nice as it's not rolled into the price) but the
figure bottom is a nice oval shape that, although it will probably not
keep the miniature upright for gaming on hills, etc., is a good base
for mounting and securing for painting. The box back pictures show the
Romans painted with Army Painter products and I think I will try an
American type of varnish on these for the "dipping" method as the
detail looks more than acceptable for the tabletop. The decals for the shields are nice as well (decals is probably a generational term - I've never used the term Waterslide Transfer!) and will save a lot of time. The center is even cut out already so it will fit over the shield's center bump! Add this page to your favorite Social Bookmarking websites
